3 Challenges Entrepreneurs deal with

Entrepreneurship is a beautiful thing. But it doesn't come easy, you really have to work for it.

I'll share some of the reasons why I think these things come up and I will also give my tips on how to overcome these that have worked or me and so many others!

1. Overcoming Self-Doubt

Questioning if you're going to be successful?

It's perfectly normal.

Not feeling qualified?

Also, normal.

Lacking experience?

It is very common.

The thing to remember is everyone starts somewhere. It's okay to be new at something.

Going into something new can be exciting but it can also be a little scary.

Especially if you're coming from a job that provides a sense of stability. Work eight hours make eight hours worth of money. Entrepreneurship is not linear like this. There's investment of time into it, into yourself, and your skills.

The best thing you can do is follow through on your goals no matter what. It isn't failure unless you quit. Making mistakes is part of the learning process. Babies roll around before they begin to crawl, they crawl before they walk. There are many tumbles along the way aren't there? Why would it be any different in a new business activity? Be patient with yourself, be kind to yourself, but at the same time push yourself just enough so you're always growing.

Having a mentor is also very, very valuable. Especially someone who is already successful in the field or activity you are in.

2. Overcoming Fear of Rejection

Approval addiction can completely stop your progress in life. This is something you have to overcome if this is an challenge for you.

Start by thinking about what are some reasons you are afraid of rejection. What's the worst that can happen?

Here's the thing, if the people around you make you question yourself, make you feel bad and try to stop you from doing something you really want to do that is important to you. Try to have a heart to heart with them about how they're making you feel. If that doesn't go anyway, ask yourself "Do I really want to keep them in your life?" Be honest with yourself. You might want to ask yourself, "How are they doing in their life? And is that an example of what I want my life to look like?" If the answer these questions are all no, then distance yourself from them or ignore them, honestly.

If it is hard to distance yourself from these individuals, maybe spend less time with them gradually so you can protect your mindset and focus on what matters. Which is growing and creating your dream life. When you are around them, maybe talk about other things than your business when you're around them. Focus on what you both have in common and can agree with. Because you don't need to hear that other nonsense.

This may all sound harsh, I know, but it is an important aspect of being an entrepreneur. You sometimes have to make tough decisions like this. You may love and care about them but if they are dragging you down and aren't mature enough to support you despite their feelings and attitude then there is no sense in keeping them involved in your journey.

As an Entrepreneur, you have to protect your energy and focus, because when you feel good you do good. Having a mentor who believes in you until you start to. Surround yourself with like-minded people who uplift you. When you're down, lean on your supportive mentors and friends instead of those who bring you down further. In case you needed to read a reason why, it is because YOU DESERVE TO BE HAPPY AND SUCCESSFUL AND DON'T LET ANYONE TELL YOU OTHERWISE!

3. Overcoming Changes

Some people like you where you are. Let me explain.

If you start doing better and making bold moves. Some people, not all, around you who "know you" begin to feel threatened, maybe even jealous. These characters are the one that make the most noise, and it's easy to listen to these lies and discouragement. A big reason why is because entrepreneurship begins to change you. These individuals are used to you being a certain way and are comfortable with where you were at. Now you start a business and begin to get excited and doing a bunch of stuff that you didn't really do before!

The interest thing is, real friends will genuinely support you and be happy for you, they'll support you even if they're also feeling slightly jealous!

Back to these characters who are threatened, another thing to keep in mind is that they may have even tried becoming an entrepreneur in the past, then failed and quit! By taking you down, they are just trying to make themselves feel better or prove themselves right by telling you not to bother with the whole thing. If this really is the case, now imagine how this person, with this kind of attitude, would feel if you succeeded! Salty. Very salty indeed!

Face the music: when you become an Entrepreneur, BE PREPARED TO LOSE SOME FRIENDS!

I am sorry to break this to you, but it can happen! Honestly, they probably weren't great friends to begin with, if that does happen! There's a saying, if you want to know who your real friends are, start a business.

If you are dealing with these negative people around you, just take it as a sign that you're going in the right direction. It's a sign of you leveling up. You leveling up threatens people! They think you might have potential! Actually, maybe take that as a compliment!

Summary

Entrepreneurship can be a beautiful thing. It may be one of the hardest things you do, but you will become stronger, tougher and better for it, in more ways than you can ever imagine. It might be the kick in the butt you need to take control of your life fully and into a bright future of your dream life for you and your family.
